Extensions
We all want hair like the pictures! But alas we aren't always gifted with full lush locks. There are many types available. Let's take a look and help you find your Dream Hair!
Tape Extensions.
Tape extensions are a fantastic choice for the beginner extension wearer. Super stable and reliable and unlikely to slip out easily. They give a full, lush look and are very glamorous.
They need to be maintained at 6 weeks which is a process where the extensions are removed, the excess tape and sticky residue is removed from your hair, your hair is then washed and blow dried and the extensions re-taped and re-installed and styled.
The benefits of tape extensions are that they are easy to wear, are full and give great coverage. For this reason they can be a great choice for covering shorter hair. They move up and down so high pony's are no problem!
The down side is that because they a quite a large they can be quite hard to disguise in fine hair. They also only move up and down, so high pony's are no problem but not so much half up and half down, braids etc.
Nano Bead Extensions.
As the name suggests, Nano bead extensions have very small connection points and can be an excellent choice for fine hair. Nano's have what we call a 360 degree rotation meaning you can put your hair up however you want. Wear as braids, bunches, half up half down, you name it you can do it! They need to be re-fitted at 6 weeks which is a process of removing the extension, combing out the hair, selecting a new section and re-applying the extension with fresh beads.
The downside of these extensions is that they can slip out due to such a small amount of hair being in the bead. It is typical to lose 10% of the extensions between re-install appointments.
